If you are going to Paris, then you certainly need to take a walk around Montmartre. It is perhaps the most romantic and picturesque part of Paris. But please, For Pete’s sake, don’t stay only at the Sacré-Cœur basilica. Just keep walking, wherever your feet take you. This area is full of an incredible variety of streets, that look like a cinema scene. I must say that thanks to Montmarte I fell in love with Paris.
Montmartre was a source of inspiration for Picasso and Van Gogh. But here even the most average artist will feel like a great creator. The abundance of details, careful attention to all those little things and the inexhaustible imagination of people who have made a hand in decorating this part of the city, do their job. I do not know how about the locals, but I personally find a lot of unexplored corners every time.
