I advise you to look not only at the best portfolio shots, but also at the full stories. Only so you can get an impression on how your photo session will look like. And it will help you to understand my photography style more.
Some other wonderful photo-shoots can be found in the blog.
For many people a photo session is a frightening process that makes them nervous and induces stress. They are afraid it would be uneasy, unintelligent, uninteresting, unbeautiful, uncomfortable, and all sorts of other “un-”. It’s worth noting that you are frightened of this uncertainty absolutely in vain. In this article I would like to give some advice of how to pose during a photo session, if you are an ordinary person without rich modeling experience.
This story is about our wonderful walk with breathtakingly beautiful Ulyana. About amazing sun light in her hair. I love the sunset photo-shoots no less than the sunrise’s ones. And may be even more, when the light is softer and the shadows are incredible. Is was a warm September evening. Usually the sun does not spoil us with its frequent appearance at this time of year, but not that day! We were very lucky and Ulyana bathed blissfully in it’s rays. A simple girl from Russian small city became a super-star in that evening – everybody wanted to take a picture of her. Men curled their necks, and women sighed enviously.
Such weddings is an incredible pleasure for me as a photographer. They leave a pleasant aftertaste and elation for many days ahead. Weddings of Israelis, whether it’s a formal or a symbolic ceremony, occupy a special place in my “best of the best” weddings list. It seems they bring a piece of sun in their souls from their sunny country and illumine all around, giving us an opportunity to bask in the rays.
It can be said without exaggeration that Tuscany is a small piece of paradise, comfortably located in the central part of Italy. This region is of unspeakable beauty, and every year many travellers come to this region, willing not only to enjoy the beauty and to get aesthetic pleasure, but also to get sun tanned at the sea beaches and to improve health at multiple health resorts. There are even legends regarding breath-taking landscapes.
Winter photo shoots have their charm. Especially if you are lucky enough and Prague will delight you with snow. And, you know what’s awesome? Snow in Prague is very cinematic. You can see that type of snow in Hollywood Christmas movies. It, as is sung in a famous song, spins and flies, and practically doesn’t land on the ground. And you are roaming around this magical winter fairy tale, drinking hot wine, snacking with trdlo (a Czech sweet bun) and can’t believe that it’s real.
Every year more and more couples come to Prague to arrange pre-wedding photo shoot here. For some people Prague is one of the several cities in pre-wedding photo marathon from where they plan to bring a piece of memories, while others come specially only to the Czech Republic, enchanted by beautiful city views in photos of their friends. One way or another, in all seasons, in any weather, it’s not unusual to meet a bride early in the morning when the city is just awakening from a night sleep, posing in front of the Prague’s attractions.
Ah, Italy! It is a heavenly, colourful, bright, rich, warm, tasty and so much inimitable and versatile country. The list of laudatory epithets may be endless. I used to travel a lot in Europe and I can say that you will not see anywhere else such a combination of colours, temperament, flavor and love of life as here.
Christmas in Prague is a fairy tale that came true, it’s smell of cinnamon and gingerbread cookies, it’s a gentle jingling of a bell, it’s a time of bright lights, of kids laughter and of an enchanting feeling that magic is prevailing everywhere. It’s a spicy fragrance of mulled wine, the freshest Czech spit cake with a funny name “trdelník”, it’s Prague streets flooded with warm lights, and an unusual sensation of wonders floating in the air.
Italy is perhaps my most favorite European country. An absolutely unique atmosphere reigns there. In comparison to calm and hasteless Czech Republic kindly and open-minded people live there. So when the awesome guys Ksenia and Gleb invited me to shoot their wedding in Rome, I didn’t ponder too much :-)
Looking at the colorful pictures of Indian weddings in the Internet, I have long dreamt not so much to admire this action personally, as to photograph. As they say, if you insistently go to your dream, sooner or later, all your desires will come true. On this shooting many things were for the first time for me: I first photographed the wedding with the number of guests about 500 people, I first came to England, I first photographed the wedding of Sikhs and I first attended at the ceremony, which was held in a language I did not understand, from which the concentration and tension just were over the top, because you could not miss a single detail.
Here is an example of 6 hours pre-wedding photo-shoot for a lovely couple from Hong-Kong. The shooting day was divided into two parts: morning and evening. And I find that this approach is just simply perfect. Do you want to know why?
Boudoir photo session is a great opportunity to express your femininity, to show inner and outer beauty. Every woman is beautiful. Every woman is sexy. Every woman deserves to have photos that reflect her inner self.
More and more couples choose luxurious medieval Prague as fabulous decorations for their pre-wedding photoshoots. And let the queue of brides on especially popular dates to the most famous Prague sights is not a surprise, it does not prevent us from creating beauty.
Spring in Prague is outrageously beautiful. You are feeling dizzy from all these amazing pink cherry trees, divine aromas in the air, snow-white apple trees and stunning chestnut avenues, the smell of which the head is spinning … Even experienced travellers can fall in love with all this beauty, combined with the incomparable Prague’s architecture.
What a great pleasure to shoot such an incredible couple – infinitely loving each other, happy, artistic, spreading positive energy around them. I’m often told that there is a marvelous light in my photos. The only secret is that it is not only sunlight but also the inner glow of the people I photograph. The main task of the photographer is to open a shell, in which each of us is hiding, and let this shine to escape.
Vrtba Garden, perhaps, is the most popular location for the wedding ceremony in Prague. May be it is inferior only to the Old town hall in terms of number of weddings hold there. It is not surprising. Magnificent park cascades, amazing views to the city and the central location make this garden unique. The garden opens arms to cozy weddings for two and with the same enthusiasm accepts celebrations with a hundred of guests.
There many couples coming to Prague for a honeymoon. In order to have nice pictures from the trip they usually bring their wedding clothes and book a professional photoshoot. Despite the fact that it’s really difficult to wake up in such early morning I like that kind of shoots very much. Empty Prague in combination with amazing morning sun and beautifull young couple is adorable.
Hallstatt is a tiny alpine village with a population that does not even hold up to a thousand of people. However, this cozy place is known far beyond its borders. Millions of tourists rush to Austria in pursuit of amazing vistas of incredibly beautiful gingerbread houses on the shore of a picturesque lake. This secluded nook is also an object of attention for the UNESCO.
Wedding photo session for two on another day is a great idea for those who want to enjoy the wedding day and be with their loved ones, without being distracted by the shooting. If you want to give the photo session a lot of time and capture as many beautiful places as possible, then this is your option. In this case, there is no question like how to occupy the guests for several hours, how not to die from heat and tiredness, how to make hair and make-up survive until the evening and many more different “hows”.
